Every lesson is taught live. Students can see and hear Mitchell, ask questions, share their working and receive explanations in real time—without losing time travelling.

Comparison What matters Your option Online with Mitchell For context Typical in-person tuition
Who teaches
Taught live by Mitchell, a qualified full-time Maths teacher with almost 10 years’ experience.
Experience, qualifications and Maths specialism vary from tutor to tutor.
Student interaction
Students speak, answer questions, ask for help and show their working throughout the live lesson.
Face-to-face interaction is available, although participation still depends on the tutor’s approach.
Group fit
Groups are capped at six and students learn alongside peers from the same year group at a suitable level.
Private tutors are often one-to-one; tuition-centre group sizes and ability matching vary.
Clarity on screen
A shared screen and digital whiteboard make each stage of a solution clear and easy to follow.
Solutions are usually shown on paper or a physical whiteboard in the room.
Time and travel
Join from home with no commute, collection, waiting around or disruption from local travel.
Travel to a tutor or tuition centre—or arranging a home visit—is normally required.
Parent reassurance
The student learns at home, so a parent or guardian can remain nearby if that helps them feel comfortable.
Parents may need to travel, wait nearby or leave the student at another venue.
Know the tutor first
Families can watch more than 520 Maths lessons on Mitchell’s YouTube channel before ever booking.
There is often limited opportunity to see a tutor teach before the first paid lesson.
Commitment
Pay as you go, with no contract, no bulk payment and a free first lesson.
Terms vary; some tutors and centres ask families to book or pay for blocks in advance.
What is required
A laptop or tablet, a stable internet connection and somewhere reasonably quiet to work.
No internet is needed, but the student must be able to reach the lesson location on time.

A good tutor matters more than the room.

Online tuition works when the teaching is live, the group is small and the student is actively involved. The free first lesson lets your family judge the experience for itself before paying anything.

Book a free first lesson No contract. No upfront package. No obligation to continue.
